PrepareForFoulHelp your family, neighborhood and community be more prepared!

This Saturday VashonBePrepared sponsors the Prepare Fair,  from 10am till 2pm at the main fire station.

As part of the annual VIFR Open House, your family is invited for:

  • free hot dogs cooked by firefighters,
  • a bouncy house for the wee ones,
  • a chance to sit in a real fire engine,
  • Airlift NW helicopter,
  • prize drawings every half-hour,
  • PSE gas and electric safety,
  • various other safety demonstrations, and
  • lots of info tables on preparedness!

Please share with your family, friends and neighbors who might be interested in this fun event.

We're also looking for a few more volunteers to staff the info tables, answer questions and help keep the handouts stocked. If you've read a few of the handouts about making a plan, building a kit, staying informed etc., you'll be a great resource for others!

An hour or two of your time would be very helpful. You can contact VashonBePrepared President Vicky de Monterey Richoux directly, or just show up and volunteer, any time between 10am and 2pm.

Do remember to enter the drawings, for some cool prizes to boost your go-bag, car kit and home cache!

P.S. Please also contact Vicky anytime we can help you (re)organize your neighborhood. We now have more island preparedness leaders available to do presentations, provide visual aids, answer questions at your neighborhood meeting.
